From Outreach to Co-Design: Creating Retrofit Programs With Communities
This 60-minute session examines how residents, community-based organizations, and frontline stakeholders co-design retrofit programs, shaping priorities, protections, outreach strategies, and accountability structures. Community participation can surface barriers traditional programs miss and help align retrofit investments with real community needs, including housing stability, health, and climate resilience. The session will also highlight multiple program examples to illustrate how different community priorities can lead to different program designs.
