From Intake to Completion: How Whole-Home Retrofit Projects Actually Come Together

This 60-minute session follows the real-world journey of a retrofit project from intake through completion, highlighting the critical role of Retrofit Navigators in sequencing repairs, coordinating across programs, and guiding households through complex decision points. Through practitioner-led case examples, we’ll explore how projects come together in practice, and where they often get stuck.

Financing strategies are woven throughout the session, illustrating how successful programs braid and stack funding sources to enable comprehensive upgrades that improve energy performance, health, safety, and affordability.

The session includes a case walkthrough, targeted insights on common financing approaches, and a facilitated peer exchange to surface challenges and lessons from both emerging and established retrofit efforts.
